Rest in Peace, Leonard Cohen !

Olá!

Hoje eu estou triste com a notícia da partida de Leonard Cohen ...uma voz inconfundível, um romântico, um poeta do amor e da solidão... uma figura única e inesquecível...o sussurro inesquecível de sua voz  se apaga para sempre.
Ainda essa semana eu fiz um vídeo com a música que muitos pensam ser de amor (inclusive eu pensava), mas foi inspirada no Holocausto.
Um pouquinho da vida de Leonard para quem não o conhece...

"Leonard Norman Cohen (Montreal, 21 de setembro de 1934 - Los Angeles, 7 de novembro de 2016 foi um cantor, compositor, poeta e escritor canadense, filho de uma família judia de origem polonesa.
A sua infância foi marcada pela morte de seu pai quando Cohen tinha apenas 9 anos, fato que seria determinante para o desenvolvimento de uma depressão que o acompanharia durante boa parte da vida.

Embora seja mais conhecido por suas canções, como Hallelujah, que alcançaram notoriedade tanto em sua voz quanto na de outros intérpretes, Cohen passou a se dedicar à música apenas depois dos 30 anos, já consagrado como autor de romances e livros de poesia.

Em 1967  Cohen lançaria seu primeiro disco, Songs of Leonard Cohen, repleto de hinos como The Stranger Song, Sisters of Mercy e So Long, Marianne, essa última uma das três canções compostas para sua musa, a norueguesa Marianne Ihlen, antiga namorada que morreu de câncer em julho desse ano.
Seu último álbum, lançado a menos de  mês(13 de outubro)   "You want it darker"
fala de amor, de despedida, de fim de algo.
 Na capa aparece Cohen com esse terno e esse chapéu, óculos escuros, inclinando sobre uma janela, como se estivesse viajando e fumando. "

Today I am saddened by the news of Leonard Cohen's departure ... an unmistakable voice, a romantic, a poet of love and solitude ... a unique and unforgettable figure ... the unforgettable whisper of his voice fades forever .Even this week I made a video of the music that many think is love (even I thought), but it was inspired by the Holocaust.
A little bit of Leonard's life for those who do not know him ...

 "Leonard Norman Cohen (Montreal, September 21, 1934 - Los Angeles, November 7, 2016 was a Canadian singer, songwriter, poet and writer,
 Son of a Jewish family of Polish origin.His childhood was marked by the death of his father when Cohen was only 9 years old, a fact that would be decisive for the development of a depression that would accompany him during a good part of his life.

Although best known for his songs, such as Hallelujah, which gained notoriety both in his voice and in other performers, Cohen began to devote himself to music only after the age of thirty, already consecrated as the author of novels and poetry books.

In 1967 Cohen would release his first album, Songs of Leonard Cohen, filled with hymns such as The Stranger Song, Sisters of Mercy and So Long, Marianne, the latter one of three songs composed for his muse, the Norwegian Marianne Ihlen, a former girlfriend who died Of cancer in July of that year.Their last album, released less than month (October 13) "You want it darker" ,speaks of love, farewell, end of something.
