Noite de domingo... Sunday night...

Já era noite quando ela chegou...
veio forte ,derrubando  quase tudo a sua frente...  
o céu que já estava negro , clareava a cada momento com os clarões ...
ventava bastante... era ela, a tempestade.
Choveu muito forte, com granizo, vento, raios e trovões...
tudo que me amedronta... tudo que eu tenho pavor.
Durou pouco, mas me pareceu uma eternidade...
Depois de tudo, veio a escuridão...
a energia elétrica acabou... demorou cinco horas para voltar...
E enquanto eu fiquei com a claridade da luz de uma vela,
meu pensamento voltou ao meu passado distante...a minha infância...
Quantas noites passei assim, a luz de velas ou de um   lampião... foi assim quase toda a minha infância...
E era bom... eu brincava com as sombras na parede...  e eu era  feliz...
Acredito que hoje eu não saberia  viver assim... ou saberia?! 
E assim foi com muitas outras coisas que  o tempo foi  nos acostumando... os confortos da era moderna...

It rained very strong, with hail, wind, thunder and lightning ...

After all, there came darkness ...
the electric power went out ... took five hours to get back ...
And while I stayed with the clarity of the light of a candle,
My thoughts returned to my distant past ... my childhood ...
How many nights spent well, by candlelight or a lantern ... that's how most of my childhood ...
And it was good ... I was playing with the shadows on the wall ... and I was happy ...
I believe that today I could not live like this ... or know ?!
And so it was with many other things that the weather was getting used ... the comforts of the modern era ...
